Maeve Terms of Service

1. What Maeve is

Maeve is a decision-support system designed to help you understand how you spend your time and identify patterns.

Maeve provides insights — not instructions.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Maeve.

3. No advice

Maeve does not provide financial, medical, psychological, or professional advice.

All outputs are for informational purposes only.

You are solely responsible for any decisions you make.

4. AI limitations

Maeve uses artificial intelligence to generate insights.

This means:

• Outputs may be incomplete or incorrect
• Insights are based on patterns, not facts
• Results are not guaranteed

You should independently evaluate all outputs.

5. Your responsibility

You agree:

• You control how you use Maeve
• You will not rely on Maeve for critical decisions
• You will verify information before acting on it

6. Beta access

Maeve may be offered as a limited beta.

• Access is not guaranteed
• We may accept or decline users at our discretion
• Features may change or be removed at any time
• You should not store emergency-critical information in Maeve
• You may request data export, deletion, media deletion, or account deletion support

7. Your data

You own your data.

By using Maeve, you grant us a limited right to:

• Operate the service
• Sync your data across devices when cloud sync is enabled
• Store and process uploaded photos, generated videos, and render jobs you request
• Improve Maeve using aggregated or de-identified data where practical

We do not sell your personal data.

Maeve may store time logs, planning data, metrics, body measurements, photos, videos, daily and weekly check-ins, scores, local browser data, Firebase/Auth account data, device or sync metadata, and generated render records.

Clearing local data from a browser does not delete cloud data, media, generated videos, or your account. During controlled beta, export and deletion requests are handled manually by contacting info@meetmaeve.ai.

8. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract system logic
• Use Maeve to build competing products
• Scrape, overload, or disrupt the platform
• Attempt to bypass safeguards or security

9. Third-party services

Maeve relies on third-party providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, AI services).

We are not responsible for failures or actions of these providers.

10. Payments & pricing

Maeve may offer paid access.

• Promotional pricing (e.g., $9.99 USD for one year) may be offered for a limited time
• After the promotional period, subscriptions may renew at the standard price (e.g., $59.99 USD annually)

By purchasing, you agree to:

• Pay all applicable fees
• Automatic renewal unless canceled before renewal date

All pricing will be clearly disclosed before purchase.

11. Refunds

Unless otherwise stated, payments are non-refundable.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if:

• These Terms are violated
• The service is abused
• We discontinue the product

13. Disclaimer

Maeve is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We make no guarantees regarding:

• Accuracy
• Reliability
• Availability

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

Maeve is not liable for:

• Decisions you make
• Outcomes from using the service
• Any indirect or consequential damages

Total liability is limited to:

• The amount you paid (if any), or
• $100 USD

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Maeve harmless from any claims arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your violation of these Terms

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

Disputes will be resolved in Ontario, Canada unless otherwise required by law.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms.

Continued use means acceptance.
